DEPTH THERAPY IN SAN FRANCISCO: Finding Light in Times of Darkness

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or painful relationship patterns? Has grief, trauma, or a major life transition left you feeling overwhelmed? Dark times can make you feel lost, alone, or left behind. Though suffering may be an inevitable part of life, you don’t have to face it alone.

There is hope

Ironically, it is often during challenging times that you may discover the greatest opportunities for growth, transformation and healing. If anxiety, depression, or personal struggles are holding you back, therapy can help ease your suffering and guide you toward a path forward. Therapy can provide a lifeline if you’re:

  • Struggling with depression or persistent low mood

  • Feeling anxious, panicked, or constantly worried

  • Recovering from trauma, abuse, or neglect

  • Coping with grief or the loss of someone or something important

  • Feeling overwhelmed or stuck during major life changes

  • Noticing painful patterns relating to yourself and others

  • Navigating separation, individuation, or identity challenges

  • Battling low self-esteem or self-doubt

  • Dealing with addictive behaviors or codependency

  • Working to establish healthy boundaries at home or work

  • Seeking greater self-acceptance and fulfillment

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

About Sarita Redalia

Psychotherapist in San francisco

Hi, I’m Sarita. As your therapist, it is my goal to help you to understand and accept yourself more deeply while supporting you to navigate life’s inherent challenges. Over my 20+ years of experience as a San Francisco psychotherapist, I have been gratified to help numerous individuals to face their fears, derive meaning from their challenges, and ultimately experience more fulfillment in life.

I provide therapy for a wide range of concerns, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges—in person in San Francisco and online throughout California.

I see individual adults at my Union Street office or via secure video sessions. If you have questions or would like to schedule a free initial phone consultation, please feel free to reach out. I’d be glad to hear from you.

My Approach: Depth-Oriented and Relational Therapy

As your therapist, I’ll ask you questions that invite you to explore your own emotional and psychic terrain. I can guide you through territory which may have felt too painful or confusing to navigate on your own.

By examining current patterns of thought and behavior and reflecting on your past, we can reveal unconsciously held beliefs that may be causing suffering or holding you back. Insight leads to awareness, and awareness provides a foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

People come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Perhaps there is a part of yourself that you find hard to accept. This may have you waging a war against yourself and feeling exhausted by the battle. Together we can shed light on these divided factions, creating a more cohesive sense of self. By integrating these parts of yourself, you can begin to defuse the war, find increased self-acceptance, and feel more at peace.

For a fuller sense of how I work, visit my About page. There, I share the influences that guide my approach and how I support people in moving beyond old patterns toward greater wholeness and self-acceptance.
