depth Therapy in the castro

facing QUESTIONS about identity, relationship, & community

surrounded by pride, yet still seeking connection

Living in the Castro can hold so much—history, beauty, visibility, and pride. But even in a place shaped by resilience, it’s still possible to feel unseen, unsure, or out of place. Perhaps you’re navigating your identity, struggling with relationships, or longing for a sense of belonging that feels real. You are not alone.

As a straight therapist and ally, I don’t claim to share all of your lived experience—and I don’t pretend to. But I offer a grounded compassionate space to explore what’s true for you. Whether you identify as queer, trans, non-binary, gay, lesbian, or are still finding your way, therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself and what matters most.

When who you are feels questioned—from within or without

Whether you’re just beginning to explore your identity, or revisiting it in a new chapter, becoming yourself can bring up old shame, confusion, or grief. In a world that is once again trying to erase queer or trans lives, it can be hard to know what’s truly yours. Therapy can help you reclaim your story and grow into your identity on your own terms.

when intimacy brings hope—and fear

Many LGBTQIA+ people grow up without clear models for love that includes their full selves. That absence can shape how you show up in relationship—guarded, longing, overgiving, or unsure. We can explore the patterns that hold you back and support your capacity to be seen, loved and real in your connections.

When belonging feels out of reach—even close to home

Even in queer spaces, it’s possible to feel like you don’t fit in—too young, too sensitive, not radical enough, too much. Backlash isn’t always external. It can show up inside communities and inside you. Therapy can help you hold the ache of not belonging and reconnect with a sense of community that nourishes rather than depletes.

You don’t have to carry all of this alone. Depth therapy can support you in untangling what hurts, healing what’s been silenced, and reclaiming your place in the world—as you are.
