depth Therapy for Residents of
orinda

tending to pressure, isolation, & disconnection

When a Well-Curated Life Doesn’t Feel Like it can be the Whole Story

In a town like Orinda—where beauty, stability, and achievement are woven into everyday life—it can feel confusing when something inside still feels unsettled. From the outside, everything may appear steady: family, career, a home you’ve built. But inwardly, something may feel missing—off balance, hard to name, or not fully your own.

You might find yourself moving through the motions of a full life, while internally holding stress, sadness, or self-doubt. Or perhaps you’ve lost touch with your own sense of direction after years of focusing on others. These are the kinds of struggles that don’t always have an obvious place to go.

The Weight of Expectations, the inner unrest of Disconnection

Orinda is a community that values excellence, self-reliance, and privacy. But these same values can sometimes create an invisible weight: the pressure to hold everything together, the sense that there’s little room for uncertainty or vulnerability.

Even in strong relationships, it’s possible to feel far away from others—and sometimes, from yourself. You may wonder how you got here, or where your own voice went beneath everything you’ve been managing.

An Invitation to Pause, Breathe, and Listen

Depth therapy creates space for these questions. It’s not about self-improvement or fixing what’s broken—it’s about allowing what’s been buried to surface, gently and with care. Together, we begin to notice the emotional patterns and beliefs that shape your experience—many of which formed long ago in response to early circumstances.

From this place of curiosity and compassion, change can begin to unfold—not just in how you cope, but in how you feel at your core.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

If you’re living in Orinda and navigating pressure, isolation, or disconnection, you don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy can offer a place to reconnect with what’s been pushed aside, to hear your inner voice more clearly, and to move forward in a way that feels grounded, real, and sustainable.

My office is located just across the Bay in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood, a short drive from Orinda. I also offer online therapy for residents of Orinda, Alameda, other East Bay communities, and throughout all of California.
